Is Ash's dad ever mentioned?
Ash's dad has never been an active presence in the Pokémon anime TV series or the accompanying movies. While he's mentioned a few times early in the anime, he's mostly a mystery — fans have never gotten to learn much about who or where he is, or why he's absent from Ash's life.
Silver isn't Ash's father, but he is Delia's. Making him Ash's maternal grandfather instead.
From what has been said about the character, fans know that Ash's dad is himself a Pokemon Trainer, presumably from Pallet Town, who is on his own Pokemon journey. This seems to be a common calling for the Ketchum family, as Ash's grandfather was mentioned to have also followed the same path.
No, Red is more just the video game equivalent for Ash. Some consider them to be parallel universe versions of one another. If anything it would make more sense for Ash to be Red's dad, considering it doesn't seem like Team Rocket has been taken down at all in Ash's time.
According to the eternal youth theory, like in many cartoons, the characters never age and are trapped at the age of their first appearance. This also suggests that the show has a floating timeline. This is the explanation given in the Pokémon.com mailbag for why Ash is still ten.
The young boy's name is Ash Ketchum. Or, at least, it is in English-language versions. In the original Japanese, his name was Satoshi, after the creator of Pokémon, Satoshi Tajiri. He based Ash/Satoshi on his childhood self; his early fascination with catching bugs inspired the premise of Pokémon.
Silver Ketchum is one of the main characters of the book. He is also the youngest son of Giovanni and Ash's younger half-brother.
Ash Ketchum's Age
This age has been confirmed in almost every iteration of the Pokémon anime, and no matter which series he's in, Ash is always 10 years old. Granted, there are still theories as to exactly why this is the case, such as the possibility of eternal youth or the flow of time being slower than real life.
Red Ketchum is a supporting character in Pokemon Myth. He is the father of Ash Ketchum. He is the champion of the Kanto region.
Sato Ketchum is Ash's son. He is seen in the pokemon anime series Pokemon Heart and Soul when Celebi sends Ash, Hari and Brock into the future. His name is based on Ash's japanese name Satoshi and his team is based mainly on Red's team in the Pokemon manga apart from having a Charizard instead of Venusaur.

The Strongest Pokemon Currently In Ash Ketchum's Roster (Excluding Pikachu) Alongside Pikachu Ash has caught many Pokemon over the years, but these would arguably make his best competitive team. We all know Ash Ketchum's strongest Pokemon is Pikachu.

Taking this into account, it's fair to say that Red still manages to come out on top. Within Red's world, he is one of the strongest trainers around, and has been using mostly the same team for years, so we can assume he is far more experienced with them than he would be with an ever-changing team.
Silver is the long lost husband of Delia and Ash's long lost father in the series. He 1st appears in the Pokemon Super Journey season 1 episode The Mysterious Secret of Silver. He's voiced by Scottie Ray in the Series.
The anime has yet to reveal the identity of Ash's father, although it has confirmed that he is a Trainer. Some have theorized that maybe Professor Oak is Ash's dad, while others have proposed that Ash has a stranger family line.

So at the end of XYZ Ash is 16 years old and a half. For obvious and logical reasons the Pokémon anime has ended.
